Addendum to Smoking Cessation Sessions
Within 20 minutes of your last cigarette, your body has begun the healing process.
Millions of cells awaken, ready for the task at hand….to cleanse, to heal, to restore.
In four days, all the nicotine will be gone from your body….but help your body
along by following these few suggestions...
**Drink plenty of water…every time you urinate, the nicotine and poisons will be leaving your system….
the more water you drink, the faster the poisons are eliminated.
**Drink extra milk, take calcium supplements or chew TUMS to replace the calcium loss. Low-fat yogurt or
all-natural ice cream are great sources of calcium. (Calcium attaches to nicotine when present in the body
and is flushed from the system along with the nicotine.)
**Eat three (3) servings of Oranges, Pink Grapefruit or glasses of juice per day for the first four (4) days to
counter the drop in sugar levels. (Sugar levels drop and spike when nicotine is flushed from the system.)
**If you are taking medication to lower cholesterol, do not eat or drink Grapefruit**
**Take a Vitamin B-Complex for energy and strength. All of your B vitamins have been attached to the
floating nicotine molecules! No wonder you've been so tired!
**Eat a banana every day. Bananas contain potassium and magnesium, which will also minimize the effects
of nicotine withdrawal.
